Pinspiration!

My name is Meredith & I have a Pinterest problem. This morning Henry woke me up at 5:55 AM to eat.  I couldn't get back to sleep after that.  I tossed & turned like a cat being baptized.  Finally, I gave up and just played on my phone...specifically, Pinterest.  I started by thinking I would get up & make some breakfast, but knew we were out of milk and that would limit my options.  So, of course, I checked Pinterest for breakfast ideas!  I looked at several breakfast options and then got & made something completely unrelated (eggs, toast, & fried bologna).  Then, when Henry took his first nap this morning I got down to business & accomplished things around the house got back on Pinterest.  Oh, well!

Since I love Pinterest so much and there's such an abundance of inspiration there, I decided to start a series called Pinspiration to share a few of the pins that inspire me to dream & get things done!  I hope you enjoy!

Here's some things I'm loving right now :)

This is a mood board from Teal & Lime.  I found it on their site & pinned it from there. I love the fresh colors and bold graphic patterns!  This is the direction I want to move toward in our new home (wherever that ends up being).  I've been dying to change up our décor for a while, but since we knew we'd be selling this house we kept everything neutral here.  I have some nice stuff now, but a lot of it I've been living with since before college!  I'm serious...my pretty red, silk curtains and pillows have been traveling around the South with me.  I love them, but it's time for something new!!  In addition to the look below, I'd also mix in more thrifted/well-worn pieces for a little more eclectic look (and because that's the kind of stuff I can afford).

How fun is this huge outdoor chalkboard?!  I can't wait to make one of these for Henry when he gets a little bigger.  I'll probably make it before he can even use it so other kids can go ahead and make use of it when they come visit. Can you tell I'm excited to have some play dates and real live guests once we move to Mississippi?  I can't wait!!

I lurve this two-toned, dipped looking table!  That shade of coral doesn't make me want to do the dougie, but I would love to do something like that to one of tables or stools I already have in maybe turquoise and lime green or navy and yellow.  Yeah, those would be gorg!  Excited to try that on something!

I have lots of old picture frames (many with no glass), Hobby Lobby-type letters, and there's never a shortage of extra fabric laying around my house.  I could do this project without buying a single thing.  Can't beat that!  As soon as we get to our new place & unpack the boxes, this is on my to-do list :).

So, that's what's been Pinspiring me lately!  What projects do you have on your to-do list?  Any complete home redecorating happening?  What kid related pins are you most excited about trying? Are you completely addicted to Pinterest too?

Drop me a line :)

Note:  I got all of the pictures in this post from Pinterest directly unless otherwise noted.
