How it's going...

Things are going better now.  The dietician said that my numbers were not bad at all and that she thinks they sent me to her as more of a preventitive measure.  I have been following the meal outlines that she taught me and it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be.  Sometimes I cheat on the eating, but I always start fresh the next meal or next day and don't feel guilty about it.  I only have to check my blood 2 times a day, so that hasn't been terrible either.  I have a REALLY hard time remembering to check my blood...I'm very inconsistent and expect a scoulding from the doctor, but I'm almost always in the normal range when I do remember to check it, so whatever.

I had a scare this past weekend because my levels were WAY too high and I was really sick.  I thought I'd really messed something up, but the doctor's office said that I had a virus and that's made my levels look 'all out of whack'.  I was very sick and dehydrated and lost more weight, but I'm back to normal now...thank goodness!

On an exciting note, we are supposed to find out in 2 days if it's a boy or a girl!!  We're very excited and can hardly stand the wait!  I've tried not to think about it too much.  I've tried not to buy anything or look at too many baby things until we know what we're having.  Bill really wants a little girl and I kind of want a boy, but I have a feeling that it's probably a girl.  We'll be thrilled to death either way...I'm just dying to KNOW!!

My mom is coming to visit and bring baby furniture the last weekend of this month.  We've been SO blessed with all the help that we get from my cousin, Mackenzie!  She is lending us her beautiful baby furniture and some of the other more expensive items (car seat, stroller) that we'll need for the baby.  Things are going to be tight financially already, but that took a big burden off of us.  When my mom visits, we're going to repaint the living room.  It's a big room, so I don't know if we'll have time to re-do anything else.  Bill and I have been moving the other bedrooms around, too.  We've still got a lot of work to do!

That's about all I know right now, but I feel like the race to prepare for baby is really going to start in 2 days!  More updates and some pictures to come  :)
